Terms and Conditions – Bike Track Days

Participants attend Rockingham Track Days at their own risk and any liability for individuals and/or their bikes rests solely with them

Booking and Payment
1. Places are sold on a first come first served basis and will only be confirmed once payment in full has been received
2. Bookings will be confirmed by email
3. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any bookings without giving a reason
4. Garages are available free of charge on a first come first served basis. There is a facility to pre book a garage prior to the event.

Cancellations and Refunds
5. Bookings may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to the event. Any such cancellations will be refunded minus a 20% admin fee. Alternatively a credit note for the full value of the event will offered to be used at a future event
6. Bookings cancelled less than 7 days prior to an event are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. In the event the place can be resold a refund will be given minus a 20% admin fee
7. Under exceptional circumstances beyond Rockingham’s control (for example adverse weather conditions), Rockingham reserve the right to either cancel the day or change the circuit configuration. Where an event is cancelled in its entirety for such reasons Rockingham will endeavour to notify participants of cancellation prior to the date of the event. Rockingham will give participants a credit note to be used against a future track day
8. If Rockingham cancel an event for reasons other than events beyond its control, a full refund will be offered

Track Day Bike:
9. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that their vehicle is in good condition both bodily and mechanically and be safe for use on the track at all times. Road vehicles should conform to minimum MOT standards. Race bikes should be capable of passing ACU scrutineering
10. Bikes will NOT be permitted to use slick tyres
11. Rockingham will NOT be scrutineering all bikes and cannot therefore guarantee the safety of all bikes on track
12. Rockingham reserve the right to inspect any bike and to refuse access to the track for any bike deemed as being unfit. No refund or credit will be given in such circumstance
13. All bikes must comply with the venue noise limit of 98Dba static unless otherwise advised by the venue. The venue operates a drive by noise monitoring system and reserves the right to retest bikes where this system indicates that the bike may exceed the static limit. ALL bikes will be noise tested prior to being allowed on track.

Drivers and Passengers
14. All riders must be aged 18 years or over and bring both parts of a full UK Driving licence to signing on. Photocopies will not be accepted
15. All riders must wear full leather race suit or a fully zipped together 2 piece, a helmet complying with current ACU standards and motorcycle gloves and boots
16. Passengers are not permitted
17. No rider shall consume or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at any time during the event

Registration and Safety Briefing
18. On arrival all riders must report to signing on where they will be required to sign a registration and indemnity form. All riders must attend the pre activity Safety Briefing. In the event you arrive too late you will be required to attend an individual safety briefing which will be conducted at the earliest opportunity
19. No rider will be permitted on track unless they have attended a safety briefing.
20. Riders will be issued with the appropriately coloured wristband No driver will be permitted on track unless they have signed on and are wearing the appropriate wristband

On Site Safety
21. Venue speed limit is 20 mph
22. Anyone reported driving recklessly or dangerously will be escorted from the venue
23. No paddock bikes or other forms of unlicensed motorised transport are to be used on the venue at any time

Pit Lane/Garages
24. Pit lane speed limit is 30mph
25. It is forbidden to store fuel or refuel in the garages
26. It is forbidden to sit on the pit wall
27. No smoking is permitted in the Garage, Pit Lane or Garage roof
28. Children under 16 are not allowed in the garages or pit lane
29. Tyres and oil drums are not permitted to be disposed of in bins or garages. Please ensure these are taken away with you at the end of the day to be disposed of. Any person found to be in contravention will be charged a minimum of £25 + VAT per item

30. We strongly recommend that any riders new to the track take part in the sighting laps prior to the start of the event
31. Care should be taken on the first few laps to warm tyres, assess grip levels and familiarise yourself with the circuit
32. Use your mirrors regularly and move to the right if you see cars approaching
33. Overtake on the LEFT only and leave plenty of room
34. In case of an incident leave your vehicle and move to a safe position behind the barriers and await recovery
35. Any rider deemed to be driving in an inappropriate way will be shown the black flag and must report to Rockingham staff before re-entering the circuit. Repeated instances of poor driving standards will result in the participant being denied access to the track for the remainder of the day
36. Timing and competitive driving is strictly prohibited. Any participant found to be in violation will be denied access to the track for the remainder of the day
37. The participant is at all times liable for damage to circuit property

On Bike Filming
38. Permission for the use of an on bike camera must be received from Rockingham. Forms are available on request.
39. Hand held cameras are not permitted. Fixed cameras must be securely mounted (these will be checked by the pit lane marshal)

40. Spectators are welcome on site, however those under 16 years of age are not permitted access to the pit lane or pit garages. Children must be supervised al all times
41. No animals may be brought on site
