Terms and Conditions – Track Days


Participants attend Rockingham Track Days at their own risk and any liability for individuals and/or their cars rests solely with them

Booking and Payment
1. Places are sold on a first come first served basis and will only be confirmed once payment in full has been received
2. Bookings will be confirmed by email
3. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any bookings without giving a reason
4. Garages are available free of charge on a first come first served basis. There is a facility to pre book a garage prior to the event.

Cancellations and Refunds
5. Bookings may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to the event. Any such cancellations will be refunded minus a 20% admin fee. Alternatively a credit note for the full value of the event will offered to be used at a future event
6. Bookings cancelled less than 7 days prior to an event are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. In the event the place can be resold a refund will be given minus a 20% admin fee
7. Under exceptional circumstances beyond Rockingham’s control (for example adverse weather conditions), Rockingham reserve the right to either cancel the day or change the circuit configuration. Where an event is cancelled in its entirety for such reasons Rockingham will endeavour to notify participants of cancellation prior to the date of the event. Rockingham will give participants a credit note to be used against a future track day
8. If Rockingham cancel an event for reasons other than events beyond its control, a full refund will be offered

Track Day Car:
9. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that their vehicle is in good condition both bodily and mechanically and be safe for use on the track at all times. Road vehicles should conform to minimum MoT standards. Race vehicles should be capable of passing MSA scrutineering
10. Vehicles will NOT be permitted to use slick tyres unless fitted with suitable roll-over protection
11. A towing eye must be fitted to the vehicle. Failure to do so will cause delays or even damage to your vehicle in the recovery process. Rockingham cannot be held responsible for such damage
12. Rockingham will NOT be scrutineering all vehicles and cannot therefore guarantee the safety of all vehicles on track
13. Rockingham reserve the right to inspect any vehicle and to refuse access to the track for any vehicle deemed as being unfit. No refund or credit will be given in such circumstance
14. All vehicles must comply with the venue noise limit of 98Dba static unless otherwise advised by the venue. The venue operates a drive by noise monitoring system and reserves the right to retest vehicles where this system indicates that the vehicle may exceed the static limit. ALL vehicles will be noise tested prior to being allowed on track.

Drivers and Passengers
15. All drivers must be aged 18 years or over and bring both parts of a full UK Driving licence to signing on. Photocopies will not be accepted
16. All drivers and passengers must wear fully body clothing and a helmet complying with current BSI standards (includes BS6658 Type A)
17. Passengers must be aged 16 years or over.
18. Safety devices (eg seat belts/harnesses) must be used by both driver and passenger
19. No driver or passenger shall consume or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at any time during the event. Rockingham reserve the right to refuse access to the track to any driver or passenger suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund or credit will be given in such circumstance

Registration and Safety Briefing
20. On arrival all drivers and passengers must report to signing on where they will be required to sign a registration and indemnity form. Passengers under the age of 18 must have the appropriate part of the Registration Form signed by their parent or guardian
21. All drivers and passengers must attend the pre activity Safety Briefing. In the event you arrive too late you will be required to attend an individual safety briefing which will be conducted at the earliest opportunity
22. No driver will be permitted on track unless they have attended a safety briefing.
23. Drivers will be issued with the appropriately coloured wristband. No driver will be permitted on track unless they have signed on and are wearing the appropriate wristband

On Site Safety
Venue

24. Venue speed limit is 20 mph
25. Anyone reported driving recklessly or dangerously will be escorted from the venue
26. No paddock bikes or other forms of unlicensed motorised transport are to be used on the venue at any time Pit Lane/Garages
27. Pit lane speed limit is 30mph
28. It is forbidden to store fuel or refuel in the garages
29. It is forbidden to sit on the pit wall
30. Smoking is strictly only permitted in the designated smoking areas.
31. Children under 16 are not allowed in the garages or pit lane
32. Tyres and oil drums are not permitted to be disposed of in bins or garages. Please ensure these are taken away with you at the end of the day to be disposed of. Any person found to be in contravention will be charged a minimum of £25 + VAT per item

Track
33. We strongly recommend that any drivers new to the track take part in the sighting laps prior to the start of the event
34. Care should be taken on the first few laps to warm tyres, assess grip levels and familiarise yourself with the circuit
35. Use your mirrors regularly and move to the right if you see cars approaching
36. Overtake on the LEFT only and leave plenty of room
37. In case of an incident leave your vehicle and move to a safe position behind the barriers and await recovery
38. Any driver deemed to be driving in an inappropriate way will be shown the black flag and must report to Rockingham staff before re-entering the circuit. Repeated instances of poor driving standards will result in the participant being denied access to the track for the remainder of the day
39. Timing and competitive driving is strictly prohibited. Any participant found to be in violation will be denied access to the track for the remainder of the day
40. The participant is at all times liable for damage to circuit property

In Car Filming
41. Permission for the use of an in car camera must be received from Rockingham and be for personal, non-commercial use only. Forms are available on request.
42. Hand held cameras are not permitted. Fixed cameras must be securely mounted with fixed brackets, not tape or suction cups. These will be checked by the pit lane marshal and Rockingham reserve the right to refuse access to any car with unsafe camera mountings.


Spectators

43. Spectators are welcome on site, however those under 16 years of age are not permitted access to the pit lane or pit garages. Children must be supervised at all times
44. No animals may be brought on site
